Our first elected committee members
Chourongee hosted its First formal Annual General Body Meeting and First committee election on the 11th of April, Saturday from 2.00-7.00 PM, at the East Village Community Centre, University of Utah. At first, Gaurav Das (Election Commissioner) introduced the founding committee of Chourongee and acknowledged everybody who volunteered in the committee for the last one year. Then he discussed about the election procedure and mentioned all the nominations for the election of executive committee members. After the election, newly elected executive committee members co-ordinated by Shilpi Culmer as the President discussed about the aims, objectives of Chourongee and presented last year’s expenditures and income. The executive committee also selected volunteers of sub-committee members and discussed about the role of each sub-committee. Finally, amazing cultural function was performed by several talented people with great Bengali foods and drinks.
